A regular customer during The Beacon Diner's night shift, Melvin's "usual" calls for a lot of particulars you wouldn't typically expect.  However, once one gets past his intimidating set of demands, they will find a surprisingly sensitive figure who shares a close friendship with the janitor Phil and the occasional philosophical conversation with night waitress Doris.
